SOFTWARE PRACTICE

Practice Overview

For a software company to succeed in the current marketplace it has to be a proven supplier of improved business performance. Product life cycle timescales have been compressed and yet still market share and profitability rely on world class management execution.

The big three software companies are hugely acquisitive, adding further dynamic complexity to the sector. Whilst this has flattened the market to an extent it has further incentivised smaller entrepreneurial companies to dominate a business critical niche that is has yet to be cornered on a global scale.

Increasingly, mass market and enterprise software itself is becoming a mere vehicle to controlling the user, with associated solutions and services all important. If some analysts are to be believed, it will be an internet centric software world in the future (SaaS) where embedded advertising and alliances form the key revenue drivers.

At Gillamor Stephens we have a wealth of experience in the sector, with Partners internationally in our Mosaic Global Executive Search alliance specialising in the various aspects of this dynamic industry.

Clients include: Citrix, F-Secure, Misys, Northgate Information Solutions and OmPrompt.
