This company is poised to enter a phase of global growth, and view Italy as a market of exceptional potential with revenue prospects of at least $100 million.   The business is looking to establish a start-up team within Italy and therefore needs to recruit an exceptional, entrepreneurial General Manager to be at the country’s helm.

 

Role:   

This General Manager will successfully launch the Italian business, developing the country operation to achieve its full potential, including revenue and volume growth targets, alongside running the country P&L. An overview of key responsibilities include:

 

* Develop and execute the required go-to-market strategy and channel models necessary (to achieve revenue/volume and market share penetration targets. 

 

* Personally oversee all sales activities to meet agreed revenue and margin goals.

 

* Plan and execute the marketing activity necessary to successfully launch the company.

 

* Hire the launch team and scale the people resources in line with agreed headcount and budget.

 

* Over time, build the in-country infrastructure, including call centres, fulfilment mechanisms and logistics.

 

Requirements:       

* Prior experience in successfully growing a solar business in-country. This should have involved successfully setting up and managing a distribution channel.

 

* A strong track record in success in sales leadership, as measured by achieving/exceeding sales targets.

 

* Ideally General Management experience, with a history of successful P&L management.

 

* Strong levels of drive, dynamism and competitiveness.

 

* A self-starter, with the maturity to run a country operation with minimal support and direction from headquarters – but also a team-player.

 

* MUST be able to communicate both in Italian and English fluently

 

* MUST either be based in Italy, or have worked in the country previously and be able to relocate to Italy
