| Gillamor Stephens was founded in October 1998 to deliver executive recruitment services of the highest quality to a select number of clients. We now have five Partners, each of whom is an expert at recruiting for their Practice and Industry sectors.
Paul Gillespie
Paul leads the Venture Capital Practice and the Electronics Practice, delivering global searches to find the best talent for European early stage technology companies. He is a specialist in the wireless, telecoms, electronics and semiconductor sectors. Prior to founding Gillamor Stephens in 1998, Paul was Director of Search & Selection for the IT and Telecom practices of a large public recruitment company. He has 15 years experience in executive level appointments.
Recent assignments have focussed on NxD, CEO, VP and Director level hires across Europe. Technologies have spanned, amongst others, fabless semiconductors, advanced materials, battery technology and wireless software. The searches tend to be trans-Atlantic or global and he has recently hired in the UK, Finland, Austria, Switzerland and France.
Paul holds a BSc (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from York University.
Steve Morrison
Steve leads the Board Practice, and the Software, Systems and Services Practices, recruiting CEOs, board members and executives for multi-national corporates as well as smaller, high-growth technology companies.
He is a specialist in the Software and Services sectors and has a proven track record of recruiting the executive talent who can deliver value and growth to clients. Prior to founding Gillamor Stephens in 1998, Steve led the IT Search Practice of an international recruitment organisation. He has over 15 years experience in executive level recruitment across EMEA.
Recent assignments have included CEO roles for application software companies and managed services providers as well as Divisional Managing Director roles and functional leadership positions for global Software and Services companies.
Steve holds a BSc (Honours) in Microbiology and Microbial Technology from the University of Warwick, and his early career was in sales and marketing.

Steve Lavelle
Steve manages the Online Practice and the CleanTech Practice. Prior to co-founding Gillamor Stephens in 1998, Steve led the Technology Practice and managed major outsourced hiring programs for two large executive recruitment companies. He has 21 years experience in executive level appointments. Steve has spent most of his search career supporting the growth of a wide range of US companies in Europe, from early stage startups entering the marketplace for the first time, to larger corporates restructuring their management teams. Recent assignments have included VP EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Country Manager and Sales Leadership roles for a range of US based companies active in Europe including those based in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Dubai and Moscow.
Steve holds a BA (Honours) Business from the University of the West of England, with an initial career in IT marketing.

Dominic Burrows
Dominic leads the Communications and Services Practices. Prior to joining Gillamor Stephens in 2004, Dominic was Director for the EMEA Technology Practice at an international executive search firm. He has 14 years experience in the search industry, including growing practices across EMEA and founding a web-based search consultancy. Recent assignments have included a major transformation programme for a UK-based Communications company as well as multiple functional heads throughout Europe. Dominic holds a BA (Honours) in History from Reading University and spent his early career in the IT and Financial Publishing sector.
Graeme Bilsland
Graeme leads our CIO Practice, recruiting Board level and senior technical managers for international Technology, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Retail and Media blue chip companies. He is a specialist in the senior technology function with 10 years recruitment industry experience at this level. This builds on his early career in IT with one of the Dunn & Bradstreet group of companies. He joined Gillamor Stephens in 2005 following a successful career at an international executive search company, where he led the consumer and healthcare divisions within their IT executive search and selection business.
Recent assignments have included large scale IT recruitment programs for a major pharmaceutical company and a major international oil company. He has also recently recruited CIO and EVP level technology professionals in mobile software, entertainment and online media companies.
Graeme holds a BA (Honours) in Business Studies with Modern Languages from the University College of Swansea. He is fluent in French and Italian.
